Well things have gotten worse

Quickly.  Yesterday at work, Ken was let go. 

Please don't mention this on facebook, I have not told family yet.  If family reads this and doesn't comment, I don't care any more, it is my place to vent. 

His employers have been letting managers go that have been with the company for years.  They are hiring either younger men or older men willing to take less pay.  They didn't ask if he'd take a pay cut or demotion or anything, they just made him a scapegoat for something that happened in June and told him he had to go for the integrety of the company. 

22 years.

This all happened on our 25th anniversary. 

Freaking out here, both of us.  Unemployment is not going to do it.  I will start applying anywhere and everywhere.  again. 

Freaking out.  Scared.  Emotionally exhausted.
