Ugh!

I'm ready New Years, where are you???

Last week, my dryer had no power. Same problem we had with it a few years ago, but lucky me being married to Mr. Fix it, we just had to buy the part. I found a tutorial online and Ken fixed it! So, unexpected charge, right before Christmas when money was so stinking tight anyway, but we had a dryer again.

Tonight, I put the only two pair of blue jeans I own in the washer as they are too big for me and it doesn't take much to stretch them out. When the washer went to agitate, it made this awful grinding noise! :( Ken looked at it, but couldn't find the problem. We googled it and with what he found and what web sites said, it probably needs a new transmission. They are about $200. We are thinking we should just replace the whole thing. We could replace that and then something else on it could go. So, I'm thinking (ugh!) we will have to go to the laundrymat to wash our clothes and dry a good portion of them as well. When we get out refund hopefully sooner than later, we will have to see if we can get a washer. So much for catching up on things!

I am truly bummed about this.

Thursday, Amanda is going for her heart check up. I forgot that three years ago they sent us that appointment time! They called today to remind us. She seems fine, but it is always a relief to hear the doctors say she is doing fine on the inside as well. She usually goes every five years.

I'm feeling exhausted.
