So....

My sister helped us get Ken's resume all prettied up.  I followed a pattern for one online and had all the information on it and she was able to condense it all to one page.  It looks great! 

So, he emailed his resume to three places.  Two of them want to interview him tomorrow!

We have to get his references together in case they ask for them.  He seems so happy today, it is nice to see. 

Still hoping we hear from the lawyer.  We were counting on his bonus to repair the house, pay off the car and maybe take a little honeymoon that we've never had to celebrate our 25 years of marriage.  Instead we got our lives turned upside down.  He would have taken a demotion, a pay cut, both, anything but fired.  Fired. 

We are signing up for whatever we can now.  Any program available to us. 

My brother and his wife (the brother that frustrates me) sent us a $100 gift card for Christmas.  We are going to use it to get four used tires for the red van.  I had a flat tire about two months ago and the spare is still on the car because we hadn't had the money or time to consider doing anything with it really.  Now he had the time, we didn't have the money.  There is another tire on the car about to die and well, we only have one spare, so we have to do something.  I found a seller on craigslist that has four tires that don't match for $100, they say they still have 50% of the tread on them.  So much better than what I have! So we are going to use that gift card to get the tires.  It's not a personal seller, it's a business.  Otherwise I wouldn't go there. 

My head has been aching all day.  I'm feeling so tired.  I hope something good comes from the interviews.  Fingers crossed!!
