I will have to try and give myself my own weekend once or twice this summer. If I can spare the money, and my partner will help, I will.
We had the best time camping! We all love a camp fire! We had huge ones! As huge as we could anyway!! :) It rained a little but it ended before night, before we started the camp fire.
My job is going well. The biggest problem there is the boy I help. :( He likes me, he likes me so much he thinks I'm his girlfriend. I thought we'd gotten past that. He'd told me that once before, a few months ago. He brought it up yesterday again.
I'm going to watch for a new job. New building. Perhaps a new district. I've let teachers know, I will let his counselor know Monday. We think he's attention starved and I give him a lot of attention. I have to though. It's not more than I'd do for any other child, he just takes it personally.
No clue why he doesn't take it more Mom like than gf like. Could be his age, middle school is hard.
I could also use a bigger paycheck. Working for the schools is good because they have a retirement program. I only have what this job has put into it, not much. I need bigger paychecks so I get more back in the end. By the time union dues, retirement money and taxes come out, I don't see a lot of the money I make. I need the retirement program, I also need to make more money per hour.
So, my job search is on again. *sigh* Which bums me out, but because of what is mentioned above, I think it's best.
I still need to buy two new tires. I had a break down two weeks ago that weakened the one front tire even more. I'm hoping that either my second bonus check or one of my double job weeks money will buy two new tires. They are not the cheapest but they are good in the winter, heavy rain and regular driving.
Then, if we can, a couple of days of camping in June or July would be great. We shall see. There are two KOA's we know if that will take dogs and we'd like to take Rocky with us.
Here's to summer and hoping we have fun, at least a little. Perhaps a better paying job too. Fingers crossed.
I'd love to see my Mom too. *sigh*
